About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Establish production plans for assigned Powertrain Plant and work with team members to ensure plan is on target
  • Generate weekly/monthly manufacturing plans for engine and transmission plants while balancing facility and supply base capacities and managing targeted inventory levels
  • Lead SPCPS process support for managing powertrain plant capacities in support of vehicle production programs
  • Implement incremental and mix shift opportunities through demand-versus-capacity assessments and what-if scenarios
  • Work with Premium Logistics Management, Ford Purchasing, Powertrain Plant MP&L, and Supply Base personnel to manage ongoing constraint issues
  • Support meetings and work with plants to optimize schedules based on supply availability and optimal mix requirements
  • Work with plants to address smoothing opportunities, down weeks/days, and stockpiling to support customer demand
  • Address changes required to support near-term production actions
  • Communicate to cross-functional teams when plans are unsupportable and develop action plans to resolve
  • Maintain data in CMMS, DPR, and Excel to support manufacturing plans and communicate companywide production and manufacturing-time summaries

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor Degree or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education
  • 3+ years of experience within a manufacturing environment with capacity planning
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Value stream mapping understanding
  • Experience with SAP
  • Extraordinary teamwork and collaborative skills
  • Excellent relationship building/negotiating skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Master Degree or related degree; or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education (preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience within a manufacturing environment with capacity planning (preferred)
  • Experience with CMMS or SPCPS (preferred)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
