Connect the new experiences and develop a concept of how this can be realized on the vehicle platforms and electrical architectures.
Interface with multi-functional teams including Ford and supplier Body, Chassis, Electrical Engineering, etc. teams to lead overall feature development, maturation and decision-making
Collaborate with Digital Product Teams to refine the UX and feature definition.
Collaborate with Platform System teams and/or functional areas to define the supporting functionality and feature definition for the use cases.
Collaborate with the Platform team to ensure the right hardware capability is included and the right APIs are on the roadmap and included in the feature functionality.
Work on concepts being passed from R&A, assisting in further development to ready for the programs.
Work on “special projects” when other teams do not have the resources to support, can be a variety of different developments ranging from Police features to new technology assessments.
Perform competitive analysis and maintain knowledge of emerging technologies in the automotive, consumer and commercial fields
Development of vehicle architectures and full tech stack to enable world class experiences.
Lead team modernization and transformation including adoption of JIRA to track full life-cycle of SW development process.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
5+ years of experience in digital focused systems including sensors, actuators, ECUs, software
5+ years with managing vehicle programs, GPDS and the technology planning processes
5+ years of experience managing features from conception to launch, with the product delivering end-user experiences
Experience coding, modeling and prototyping
Experience with digital signal protocols and processing of data
Master’s degree
Strong communication (oral and written) skills; including the ability to explain complex concepts to audiences of varying levels of technical understanding
Systems engineering knowledge and capability
Able to cover a wide range of technical topics
Strong leadership skills – ability to manage meetings with senior leaders
Experience with in-vehicle architectures and their roadmaps, constraints, and complexity
Experience with human-centered design and working directly with customers
Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions that deliver impact
Hyper collaborative, team centric leader, that can encourage and partner with teams and leaders, regardless of level to advance the integration of digital experiences
