About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

End-to-End Feature Ownership: Own product features from spec → API → UI → deploy → iterate.
API & Service Design: Design and develop high-performance APIs and services that power the Footprint platform.
Polished Frontend: Ship user-facing features with a high bar for UI quality, partnering closely with design.
SDK Development: Contribute to our SDKs so external developers can integrate seamlessly.
Platform & Infrastructure: Improve CI/CD, releases, monorepo tooling (pnpm), performance, and observability across the stack.
Secure Systems: Build services that handle sensitive data securely and correctly (our backend is in Rust).
Product Vision: Be a strong contributor to overall product direction and team planning.

Familiarity with the KYC & identity verification space.
Background with real-world cryptography or systems security.
Experience with (or interest in learning) Rust.
Experience with cloud infrastructure at scale: AWS and Pulumi.
