Sourcing and Procurement Manager

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for delivering best cost price outcomes across a portfolio of Own Brand products
- Supporting category strategies and driving long-term value for co-operatives and customers
- Leading supplier negotiations, tenders, and sourcing initiatives
- Working closely with Category Product Managers, Product Developers, and suppliers
- Optimising cost, quality, innovation, and supply outcomes
- Maintaining a deep understanding of category cost drivers, commodity movements, supplier capability, and market trends
- Identifying opportunities to improve supplier performance, reduce costs, and create competitive advantage.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience in a procurement, sourcing, buying, or commercial role, ideally within FMCG, food, or retail.
- Strong understanding of cost models, manufacturing processes, and the drivers impacting cost of goods.
- Proven experience leading supplier negotiations, sourcing initiatives, and supplier relationship management.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret commercial data and make informed decisions.
- Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Advanced stakeholder management skills and a collaborative working style.
- Resilience, initiative, and a passion for continuous improvement.
