About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using modern DevSecOps practices to create scalable, secure and resilient platforms.
  • Develop, optimise and support CI/CD pipelines, ensuring reliable deployments and quickly resolving issues that impact delivery.
  • Automate operational processes to improve efficiency, consistency and system reliability while reducing manual effort.
  • Investigate and resolve complex infrastructure and platform incidents, working collaboratively across engineering teams to restore services and prevent repeat occurrences.
  • Contribute to the development of DevSecOps standards, operational documentation and best practices while sharing knowledge and mentoring teammates.
  • Help ensure our business-critical platforms remain secure, resilient and available 24x7, supporting the technology that keeps our stores, distribution centres and digital services running every day.
  • Helping foster a positive, collaborative culture while living the Foodstuffs values every day.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A Bachelor's degree or tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 3+ years' experience in a DevOps, Platform Engineering or similar role.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code and automation.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure, Linux administration and scripting (Bash, Python or similar).
  • Experience with tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, Ansible, Maven, Git or equivalent.
  • A passion for continuous improvement, automation and building reliable, secure platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve complex technical challenges.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with experience working in Agile teams.
