About the role
- Drive the monthly close and statutory reporting processes across the store network
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes for stores
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance
- Mentor and lead a team of accountants
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support business change
- Collaborate with outsource partners and internal stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement and finance transformation initiatives
- Work strategically with a future-focused lens and perform hands-on problem solving
Requirements
- Professional Accounting Qualification (CIMA, CA, CFA) and NZICA membership
- Senior level experience (ideally Big 4 or large enterprise)
- Expertise in financial and management accounting
- Knowledge of governance and risk
- Strong leadership with coaching/teaching ability
- Collaborative stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to roll up sleeves and problem solve at grassroots level
- Experience with SAP, MYOB, XERO
- Passion for finance automation, innovation and change initiatives
