Retail Operations Specialist – Butchery
Foodstuffs, Inc.Fresh Retail Operations Specialist improving butchery performance across 35-40 stores. Partnering with managers to enhance operational excellence and coaching for the Foodstuffs team.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Coach and mentor store teams to lift capability and performance
- Analyse store & category data to identify opportunities and drive improvements
- Build strong, credible relationships with department managers and owner/operators
- Implement best practices in butchery operations, production, and food safety
- Travel within your focus area of Waikato and Coromandel, with the wider North Island as needed.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Strong butchery experience (ideally as a Butchery Manager or senior team member)
- Solid understanding of meat cuts, yields, waste control, and production planning
- A data-driven mindset with the ability to use insights to influence outcomes
- Experience using SAP or similar systems in a retail environment
- Exceptional people and coaching skills – you can influence, challenge, and inspire
- Strong planning, organisation, and self-management capability
- A full driver’s licence and willingness to travel regularly.
