About the role
- Provide technical support as required to the business, including sales, marketing, leadership, customers and administrative staff
- Perform external audits and technical duties to meet the CB, customer and certification schemes expectations and OKR’s as defined
- Ability to travel up to 80% annually
- Working knowledge of relevant regulatory standards from agencies such as FDA, USDA, CFIA, etc.
- Comprehensive and extensive knowledge in the following areas: Good manufacturing practices for food manufacturing and distribution, Pre-requisite programs for the food industry, Food safety plans and HACCP plans, Relevant international standards
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Food Science, or bioscience discipline from an accredited or recognized institution; OR Associate degree in a food-related or bioscience discipline with additional documented education and training that meets current GFSI Lead Auditor qualification requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of Food Safety or Quality assurance experience in the food industry
- 2+ years performing 2 nd and/or 3 rd party audits for a recognized audit scheme
- Valid U.S. Driver’s license
- Lead Auditor training
- Auditor credential(s) in SQF, BRCGC, or FSSC 22000
