About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Contact inbound mortgage leads from our credit union partners through phone calls, emails, and text messages to establish initial contact and assess borrower needs.
- Conduct preliminary borrower conversations to gather information, determine eligibility, and identify financing objectives before introducing members to a Loan Officer.
- Manage a high volume of inbound lead opportunities while maintaining timely follow-up and detailed communication records.
- Assist with loan setup, application review, and collection of borrower documentation.
- Communicate with borrowers, Realtors, title companies, insurance agents, and internal team members regarding loan status and outstanding items.
- Review files for completeness and accuracy before submission to the loan officer.
- Track loan milestones and proactively follow up on conditions and required documentation.
- Maintain accurate loan information and notes within the Loan Origination System.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining compliance with company policies and mortgage lending regulations.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 2 years of mortgage industry experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience with Encompass Loan Origination System preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Spanish/English bilingual skills preferred.
