About the role

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all team members with precision and timeliness
  • Calculate, process, and report commissions and incentive compensation
  • Support the annual merit increase process, including data analysis and implementation
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and resolve payroll-related discrepancies
  • Collaborate with the Talent team on compensation analysis and market benchmarking
  • Administer comprehensive benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, life insurance, and HSAs
  • Manage 401(k) plan administration including enrollment, changes, and compliance
  • Conduct monthly benefits reconciliation and resolve vendor discrepancies
  • Support new hire onboarding for benefits enrollment and payroll setup
  • Support open enrollment processes and employee benefits communications
  • Ensure payroll tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions
  • Stay current with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Prepare and file required payroll tax returns and benefits reporting
  • Maintain documentation for compliance audits and government inquiries
  • Collect and process mail and handle sensitive documents
  • Process bank deposits and maintain accurate records of financial transactions
  • Support general office administration as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
  • 3-7 years of experience in compensation, benefits administration, or payroll management
  • Multi-state payroll processing experience required
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, tax regulations, and benefits administration
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be located within the Columbus, OH, metro area
