About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as a primary facilitator across FMI's Training Institute Performance offerings, including PMA, CBA, Performance Trainings, and future offerings
- Personally deliver high-quality, industry-relevant content to construction and built-environment audiences
- Translate real construction-industry challenges into practical, applicable learning experiences
- Adapt delivery in real time based on participant engagement, organizational dynamics, and client objectives
- Evolve program content and delivery methods based on participant feedback, facilitation observation, and ongoing industry engagement
- Mentor and develop Performance Training Facilitators and subcontractors through co-facilitation, coaching, modeling, and constructive feedback
- Build trusted relationships with participants and client stakeholders
- Deliver an exceptional client experience before, during, and after each engagement
- Partner with internal teams on session planning, content refinement, and development of client-ready materials
- Contribute market and content insights to business development and marketing efforts
- Collaborate with Program Operations Managers, Coordinators, and internal partners to improve program quality and participant outcomes
- Identify and help implement improvements to content design, delivery methods, and overall program impact
Requirements
What you’ll need- Significant experience in the built environment, including construction or closely related industries
- 7+ years of hands-on experience facilitating, teaching, or coaching executive or professional audiences
- Proven track record of designing, delivering, and continuously improving programs or learning experiences for professional audiences
- Strong consultative skills with the ability to quickly build credibility and adapt to unique client environments
- Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity, manage group dynamics, and facilitate difficult conversations with confidence
- Excellent communication, facilitation, coaching, and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Salesforce, NetSuite, and Cvent
- Willingness to travel extensively (60–80%)
- Ability to lift program materials (50–100 lbs.) with support
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, education, or a related field preferred
- Advanced degree or facilitation/instructional design certification a plus
- Experience coaching or developing other facilitators or instructors preferred
