About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Participate in compensation consulting engagements, from project kick-off through final report development and presentation.
- Conduct market benchmarking analyses utilizing a variety of compensation surveys and market data sources.
- Coordinate within internal project teams to evaluate job roles and career paths, develop salary structures, design incentive plans, and refine compensation-related programs to meet clients’ objectives.
- Prepare client-ready reports, presentations, and data insights utilizing Excel, PowerPoint, AI-enabled technologies, and other data visualization and analysis tools.
- Attend client meetings and confidently communicate technical concepts and data-driven findings and recommendations.
- Organize and prioritize assignments to ensure work is completed within established scopes, timelines, and budgets.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of FMI Compensation & Rewards analytical tools, methodologies, and internal processes.
- Build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues across FMI.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in business, economics, finance, or a related field
- 4 + years of professional consulting experience in compensation, total rewards, or a related advisory environment
- 3 + years of experience conducting compensation benchmarking analyses using multiple compensation survey sources
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Tableau or other analytical tools
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong understanding of compensation principles, market pricing methodologies, and employee compensation practices in the United States
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred.
