About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the compliance product roadmap, setting priorities, sequencing work, and managing the product as a business
- Lead product vision, strategy, and execution for FMG’s compliance platform
- Design and launch FMG’s first external-facing compliance capability, such as an API, SDK, or embedded widget
- Engage enterprise and ecosystem partners on onboarding, integration coordination, and partner success
- Align Engineering, GTM, and Compliance leadership around product priorities
- Validate market demand through customer discovery, competitive analysis, and business-case development
- Run discovery, write specifications, prototype ideas, partner with engineering through delivery, and own the post-launch feedback loop
- Connect product decisions to retention, expansion, and revenue
- Manage relationships with enterprise clients, key vendors, internal executives, and partner stakeholders
- Present product strategy and decisions to internal and external executives
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7+ years in product management
- Meaningful experience in fintech, wealthtech, regtech, or a compliance-adjacent product area
- Direct experience applying SEC, FINRA, or equivalent financial-services regulatory frameworks to product decisions
- Experience owning product strategy and hands-on delivery in a senior individual-contributor or player-coach role
- Experience designing or launching an API, SDK, or platform-layer product for external partners or developers
- Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Replit, or similar to build working prototypes or MVPs
- Comfort operating in an AI-native SDLC, reviewing AI-generated code conceptually and using AI for discovery and prototyping
- Strong written communication and ability to produce decision-driving documents
- Ability to run discovery, write specifications, prototype, partner with engineering, and own post-launch feedback
- Fluency in financial-services compliance, including SEC Marketing Rule 206(4)-1, FINRA 2210, and broker-dealer supervisory frameworks
- Understanding of home-office approval workflows, advisor compliance friction, and regulatory exposure
- Ability to build business cases, assess market opportunities, and own business outcomes
- Experience working directly with enterprise compliance or legal stakeholders
- Experience managing enterprise clients, key vendors, partners, and internal executives
- Experience with broker-dealer or home-office relationships, automated review workflows, content archiving, supervisory systems, B2B SaaS pricing and packaging, startups, or PE-backed companies is nice to have
