About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage and implement ad monetization strategies across multiple titles, ad networks, and demand partners.
- Support and contribute to the ad monetization strategy, aligning with overall group and portfolio goals.
- Design and optimize in-game ad placements, formats, and user segmentation strategies to improve ARPDAU, eCPM, fill rate, and overall LTV.
- Develop and maintain ad operations processes, including mediation setups, waterfalls, and network integrations across platforms such as AppLovin MAX, Unity LevelPlay, and AdMob.
- Monitor and manage ad creative quality across networks — reviewing served ads, handling player-reported ad issues, and using network-side blocking tools (advertiser blocklists, category exclusions, creative review queues) to maintain a safe, age-appropriate, and brand-aligned experience.
- Ensure ad monetization compliance with platform policies and regulations (Apple/Google store policies, COPPA where relevant, GDPR, ATT/IDFA, CMP/consent flows, SKAdNetwork/AdAttributionKit) in collaboration with Legal and Ad Tech.
- Conduct performance analysis across key KPIs, identifying opportunities and supporting continuous improvement.
- Run hypothesis-driven A/B tests in collaboration with Product and BI teams; analyse results, scale winners and iterate.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Game Design, Engineering, BI, QA and UA teams to deliver monetization improvements.
- Build and maintain relationships with ad network partners and account managers to maximize performance and resolve ad quality escalations quickly.
- Support Ad Tech and Data requirements, including SDK integrations, tracking, dashboards and automation.
- Contribute to documenting and sharing best practices and insights across group.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2–3 years of experience in advertising monetization, ad operations or revenue-related roles, ideally within mobile gaming or digital products.
- Good understanding of the ad tech ecosystem, including ad networks, mediation platforms, waterfalls and basic programmatic concepts.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major mediation platform (AppLovin MAX, Unity LevelPlay or AdMob mediation) is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with ad quality tools and processes — advertiser/creative blocking, category controls, and handling user-reported ad complaints across networks.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and support data-driven decisions.
- Exposure to A/B testing and working with product and data teams to support optimization efforts.
- Good cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
- Organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
- Interest in mobile games and understanding of free-to-play models is a plus.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot) to accelerate day-to-day work — automating reporting, summarising data, drafting documentation, prototyping scripts or queries, or supporting ad creative/quality review — is a plus.
