About the role
- Work closely with Producers and the HR and Recruitment Manager to deliver production resourcing across animation and film projects
- Manage multiple open roles simultaneously in a fast paced production environment with shifting priorities
- Proactively source candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, industry networks, referrals and direct outreach
- Maintain a strong active pipeline of creative, technical and production talent for current and future animation productions
- Build and maintain a broad network of animation industry contacts with awareness of talent availability, movement and market trends
- Release engaging recruitment advertisements aligned with Company brand guidelines
- Screen, shortlist and assess candidates for technical capability, production fit, availability and team alignment
- Submit shortlisted candidates to Producers and Supervisors with clear recommendations and insights
- Organise and participate in interviews as required and ensure a high quality candidate experience
- Manage end to end candidate communication including rejections, offers and onboarding coordination
- Support Producers with rate benchmarking, offer management and contract negotiations
- Ensure all recruitment activity is accurately tracked and maintained in the ATS
- Assist with documenting, updating and refining studio job descriptions as production needs evolve
- Provide recruitment market insights to Production and People and Culture teams
- Represent the studio at animation industry events, festivals and recruitment initiatives as required
- Contribute to continuous improvement of recruitment processes, tools and workflows
- Develop relationships with universities, institutions and training programs to support early career animation talent pipelines
- And all other services as reasonably required by the Production Company.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience recruiting within animation, vfx or film
- Proven experience recruiting for creative, technical and production roles within animation
- Strong understanding of animation pipelines, production cycles and role requirements
- Experience working in production environments with high volume and time critical hiring
- Demonstrated recruitment experience within animation, film or VFX environments
- Strong understanding of creative and technical roles across animation, film and VFX pipelines
- Exceptional organisational skills with strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in fast paced environments
- Advanced experience using ATS platforms
- Strong sourcing capability using LinkedIn Recruiter and other industry tools
- Established industry network with the ability to identify and engage high quality talent
- Strong communication and relationship management skills with candidates and stakeholders
- Confidence in negotiating rates, contracts and start dates with talent and hiring managers
- High level of discretion when handling confidential and commercially sensitive information
- Advanced Microsoft Suite and GSuite skills
- Flexibility, adaptability and willingness to respond to changing production needs
- Strong passion for animation, film, television and the creative production industry.
