About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage external engineering firms, subcontractors, as well as internal engineering disciplines (civil, electrical, network, permitting) to ensure timely, on-budget, and high-quality completion of project deliverables
Ensure deliverables meet contractual requirements, are buildable, and that country/regional impacts to design and cost are considered by engineering functions
Manage internal and external design review meetings and verify compliance with Fluence's internal quality program certified to ISO 9001
Drive a culture of value engineering and encourage innovation and creative approaches for best-in-class system design
Support project procurement by developing construction and electrical equipment specifications and by performing technical reviews of vendor and subcontractor proposals
Review internal and subcontractor designs to ensure compliance with project requirements and contractual obligations

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred; other fields will be considered
At least 8 years' professional experience in the design of power systems for utility installations, PV plants, and battery storage systems in the EMEA region
Experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) for high-voltage systems, wind, solar, or conventional power generation; experience in the energy storage sector is a plus
Ability to manage multiple projects with time-sensitive deliverables simultaneously and deliver them on time, on budget, and to the customer's satisfaction
Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and regulations used in the EMEA region
Fluent in written and spoken English and German
