Communications Manager
FluenceCommunications Manager supporting media relations, social media, and thought leadership for Fluence, a leader in energy storage and optimization software. Part of the Corporate Communications team driving business growth in the Americas.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support media relations in the United States and emerging Americas markets as well as at the corporate level
- Develop and execute local communications plans aligned with global corporate communications strategies
- Draft high-quality external content, including press releases, media statements, op-eds, bylined articles, talking points
- Support thought leadership, including shaping messaging, securing and managing speaking opportunities, and developing content
- Serve as the owner of all social media content for the United States and emerging Americas markets
- Coordinate and execute market-level press conferences and provide communications support for local events
- Assist the Director of External Communications with crisis and issues communications
- Provide counsel to internal stakeholders on media engagement, messaging, and reputational considerations
- Monitor and report on media coverage and communications performance across the United States and key Americas markets
Requirements
What you’ll need- 6 + years of experience in external communications, public relations, or corporate communications
- Proven experience working with media, including established relationships with energy, business, technology, and policy reporters
- Energy industry experience strongly preferred, particularly in renewables, grid infrastructure, utilities, or energy storage
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, public affairs, or a related field
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex, technical topics into clear, compelling stories for business, policy, and general audiences
- Experience managing social media channels and drafting content for social media
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Comfort working in a global, matrixed organization
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with media monitoring and media relations tools
