About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Be responsible for site safety by utilizing best practices, building on established Fluence safety culture, and utilizing Fluence safety management systems
Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on various BESS equipment and related assets
Aid in inspection, testing, and repair of utility-scale power and controls equipment
Support the PML/PMM in managing multiple 3rd party service vendors in the safe execution of O&M services across contracted BESS projects
Assist the PML/PMM with creating, reviewing, approving, and executing work orders and accurate inventory management, data collection, and summary reports
Maintain open lines of communication to supervisors, engineers, and managers

Requirements

What you’ll need

HS Degree and 2-4 years of experience working in the electrical or renewable energy industries within generation/operations / technical teams (solar/wind/BESS/gas/hydro/distribution)
Demonstrated problem-solving skills related to electrical troubleshooting, read and interpret schematic drawings, and have the ability to follow company QC and testing procedures
High level of attention to detail and focus on proper documentation
Ability to adapt and work in extremely hot and cold environments
Manage time and tasks effectively with a sense of urgency
Must be willing to travel frequently up to 3 weeks at a time
Must have a current driver’s license with a good DMV record
Requires ability to physically bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, reach, climb ladders/steps, and lift at least 50 lbs
Either currently hold or able to immediately obtain certifications for OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, and CPR
