About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Be responsible for site safety by utilizing best practices, building on established Fluence safety culture, and utilizing Fluence safety management systems
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on various BESS equipment and related assets
- Aid in inspection, testing, and repair of utility-scale power and controls equipment
- Support the PML/PMM in managing multiple 3rd party service vendors in the safe execution of O&M services across contracted BESS projects
- Assist the PML/PMM with creating, reviewing, approving, and executing work orders and accurate inventory management, data collection, and summary reports
- Maintain open lines of communication to supervisors, engineers, and managers
Requirements
What you’ll need- HS Degree and 2-4 years of experience working in the electrical or renewable energy industries within generation/operations / technical teams (solar/wind/BESS/gas/hydro/distribution)
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills related to electrical troubleshooting, read and interpret schematic drawings, and have the ability to follow company QC and testing procedures
- High level of attention to detail and focus on proper documentation
- Ability to adapt and work in extremely hot and cold environments
- Manage time and tasks effectively with a sense of urgency
- Must be willing to travel frequently up to 3 weeks at a time
- Must have a current driver’s license with a good DMV record
- Requires ability to physically bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, reach, climb ladders/steps, and lift at least 50 lbs
- Either currently hold or able to immediately obtain certifications for OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, and CPR
