About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Be responsible for site safety by utilizing best practices, building on established Fluence safety culture, and utilizing Fluence safety management systems
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on various BESS equipment and related assets
  • Aid in inspection, testing, and repair of utility-scale power and controls equipment
  • Support the PML/PMM in managing multiple 3rd party service vendors in the safe execution of O&M services across contracted BESS projects
  • Assist the PML/PMM with creating, reviewing, approving, and executing work orders and accurate inventory management, data collection, and summary reports
  • Maintain open lines of communication to supervisors, engineers, and managers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • HS Degree and 2-4 years of experience working in the electrical or renewable energy industries within generation/operations / technical teams (solar/wind/BESS/gas/hydro/distribution)
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills related to electrical troubleshooting, read and interpret schematic drawings, and have the ability to follow company QC and testing procedures
  • High level of attention to detail and focus on proper documentation
  • Ability to adapt and work in extremely hot and cold environments
  • Manage time and tasks effectively with a sense of urgency
  • Must be willing to travel frequently up to 3 weeks at a time
  • Must have a current driver’s license with a good DMV record
  • Requires ability to physically bend, stoop, sit, stand, walk, reach, climb ladders/steps, and lift at least 50 lbs
  • Either currently hold or able to immediately obtain certifications for OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, and CPR
