About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead a team of project managers: resource planning and team development.
Manage a portfolio of battery storage projects: oversee international battery storage projects to ensure compliance with scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.
Plan and coordinate all activities of the portfolio team to ensure efficient workflows and achieve project milestones.
Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders, providing daily updates on project status and changes.
Clarify client objectives and requirements, analyze work packages, and create/manage project specifications for suppliers.
Monitor project status and adjust scope, schedule, or budget as needed.
Provide monthly reports to the executive board and weekly reports to clients to ensure transparency and accountability.
Process claims efficiently to mitigate risks and manage project hazards.
Coordinate on-site commissioning activities in collaboration with construction site management.
Ensure compliance with PM standards and business codes, including Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a project manager in plant engineering/EPC business, preferably in energy or grid solutions, wind energy, or renewable energy.
Master’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering.
Proven experience handling demanding clients.
Strong focus on deadlines and budget requirements, linking technical and commercial perspectives.
Demonstrated success collaborating with all management levels.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in German (native or C1 level) and English (professional proficiency).
Willingness to travel within Germany 20% - 30%.
