About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Utilize SolidWorks to design robust enclosures for severe industrial environments.
  • Execute mixed-signal circuit design, PCB layout, and embedded firmware development (ESP32, RTOS, C/C++).
  • Take ownership of the initial design phase utilizing in-house rapid prototyping (MJF/FDM 3D printing).
  • Proactively collaborate with manufacturing engineers, product owners, and end-users.
  • Write comprehensive test plans from scratch and conduct on-site validation of sensor reliability.
  • Maintain high standards of design documentation for system continuity and traceability.
  • Demonstrate strong engineering judgment in balancing technical standards with business requirements.
  • Design, prototype, and deploy ruggedized sensor systems for heavy industrial environments.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Deep understanding of applied physics, including force, magnitude, and material properties.
  • Working knowledge of ray tracing for antennas and mixed-signal circuit design.
  • Practical experience with 3D printing fundamentals and rapid prototyping.
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, write, and execute effective physical and electrical test plans.
  • Advanced capability in designing complex physical test jigs for severe environmental hazards.
  • Experience with Altium and Enovia is a bonus.
  • Familiarity with embedded security protocols and vulnerability mitigation is a bonus.
