About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for customers, aiming to strengthen relationships across the different FLSmidth business areas.
  • Activates and coordinates Field Services Engineering (FSE), Professional Services, Sales, and Global Specialists to deliver the most appropriate technical solutions aligned with customer needs.
  • Manages maintenance plans in relation to spare parts requirements for FLSmidth equipment, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
  • Identifies opportunities within existing customer installations for equipment replacement using FLSmidth parts and consumables, increasing share of wallet.
  • Provides strategic input to support the development of customer retention and growth plans.
  • Works closely with Solution Specialists to drive on-site consumables offerings.
  • Identifies opportunities to increase total Service Business Line (BL) order intake through Field Services Engineering engagement.
  • Develops, trains, and supports new Site Account Managers and Site Account Representatives to strengthen customer coverage and service delivery.
  • Communicates with Global Service, Business Lines (BL), and Regional Sales & Lifecycle Management (RSLM) regarding market price competitiveness and supply localization/globalization strategies.
  • Collaborates with Professional Services to deliver on-site customer support and identify Upgrades & Retrofits (U&R) opportunities that enhance customer value and operational performance.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Mechatronics, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working in the mining industry in the same or a similar role.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and business areas, with experience managing and tracking KPIs in coordination with functional and business leaders.
  • Knowledge and experience in the preparation and development of technical and commercial proposals for the mining industry.
  • Demonstrated passion for the mining industry, with a proactive mindset focused on innovation and making a meaningful impact within a global industry leader.
  • Experience working closely with both suppliers and customers.
  • Solid experience within the mining industry.
  • Intermediate level of English, both spoken and written.
