About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the mechanical design and development of complex valve and actuator assemblies
Provide technical leadership for 3D CAD modeling
Develop and review castings, forgings, machined components, and sub-assemblies
Interpret customer specifications and develop practical engineering solutions
Serve as a principal reviewer for design packages
Apply advanced engineering analysis techniques
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, planning, quality, project management, and field service teams
Drive sustaining engineering efforts
Mentor and guide less experienced engineers
Communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
10+ years of progressive mechanical design experience
Advanced SolidWorks expertise
Strong knowledge of drafting practices and dimensioning standards based on ASME Y14.5
Proven ability to create and modify 3D parts using surfacing and advanced modeling techniques
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles
Demonstrated ability to lead technical problem-solving efforts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with a global team.
