About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Teach live remote classes
  • Mentor students by answering questions and providing feedback on assignments and projects
  • Teach through practical, market-oriented projects focused on in-demand competencies
  • Teach courses on Microservices Architecture and Event-Driven Distributed Systems and/or Real-Time Data Processing and Streaming Architecture
  • Design event-driven microservices, events, data streams, contracts and event models
  • Design integrations, pipelines, event-processing microservices, streams, tables, continuous queries and joins
  • Apply architectural patterns, Streaming SQL, streaming frameworks and serverless models
  • Design distributed systems considering eventual consistency, duplication, event loss, determinism, state and resilient execution
  • Define tooling and governance, implement testing strategies and deployment patterns in CI/CD pipelines
  • Model transformations, windowing and watermarks in distributed systems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Relevant, recent hands-on experience in Distributed Systems Architecture, Event-Driven architecture and Real-Time Streaming
  • Lato sensu postgraduate degree (specialization or MBA), completed or revalidated in Brazil
  • Stricto sensu postgraduate degree (Master's or PhD), completed or revalidated in Brazil (preferred)
  • Experience as an instructor or in related activities such as lectures, webinars, internal training and similar (preferred)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Aptitude for teaching
  • Belief in project-based practical learning
  • Willingness to learn and apply a competency-based teaching model
  • Good verbal communication
  • Availability to grade assignments, support students and prepare lessons
