About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary HR business partner for site leadership and employees across multiple clinical research locations
- Offer strategic and hands-on support to site leadership and employees with a heavy focus on employee relations, compliance, policy advisement, workforce planning, and organizational support
- Partner with site and regional leadership to identify workforce needs and implement strategic HR solutions aligned with business goals
- Ensures alignment with Flourish Research’s policies, values, and operational goals
- Support the full employee lifecycle including onboarding, performance management, employee relations, engagement, compensation, leaves of absence, and offboarding
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations matters, policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and team development
- Conduct investigations and support resolution of employee relations issues in a fair, consistent, and compliant manner
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, with a strong emphasis on California labor law
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development, and HR leadership to support recruiting, retention, and talent development initiatives
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture aligned with Flourish Research values
- Utilize HR data and metrics to inform decisions and recommend process improvements
- Lead organizational initiatives, change management efforts, and HR projects across the network
- Maintain consistent communication with leadership, employees, and corporate HR teams
- Additional duties as assigned by management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a multi-site healthcare environment, with a minimum of 5 years in an HR Business Partner role.
- Must be a subject matter expert in California employment law
- Strong employee relations experience is required, including investigations and conflict resolution
- Clinical research or healthcare industry experience is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Strong judgment and ability to navigate complex and sensitive employment situations
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/HCM systems
- Must be able to commute regularly to the Century City, CA office
- Willingness to travel up to 15%, primarily within California, with occasional travel to other locations within the U.S.
