About the role

  • Create impactful and high-quality social media and web content, both written and video, from the idea phase to publishing.
  • Create compelling and platform-specific content that resonates with the target audience and maximizes engagement.
  • Spotlight the athletes and personalities in the sport with interesting stories.
  • Travel around the world on amazing coverage of live events. You'll interview coaches and athletes, create engaging social media content and feature the biggest stories of each event.
  • Work with the team in content creation meetings, brainstorming to come up with strategies that grow and engage the community.
  • Keep a pulse on the fans and key figures in the sport in order to constantly improve by eliciting and listening to feedback from your audience.
  • Handle multiple content projects at once because you're a multi-tasking machine that can be relied on.
  • Be a news hound by staying on top of every story and news item unfolding in hockey beneath the NHL to ensure you provide comprehensive coverage to the audience.
  • Be a social media influencer and help find other big social media entities who can help promote your content.

  • You have a proven track record of creating engaging social media content and growing audience engagement.
  • You work well with management, but you’re also capable of doing stuff on your own.
  • You wake up each day looking for a win. You can't wait to create new ideas and then execute them to perfection. You are competitive and driven to be the best.
  • Candidate is prepared to share a portfolio and samples outlining accomplishments.
