About the role
- Manage AWS infrastructure with a focus on reliability, security, and cost efficiency
- Collaborate across teams to design and implement cloud solutions that meet organizational needs
- Maintain a forward-looking mindset by recommending enhancements and adopting emerging technologies
- Manage existing AWS accounts, set up new accounts, and configure account-level security and access control settings.
- Design, configure, deploy, and maintain AWS services, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, Aurora databases, Lambda, and VPCs.
- Ensure the security of AWS resources by implementing appropriate security measures, managing IAM policies, monitoring for threats, and responding to incidents.
- Collaborate with the Network Operations team to configure AWS networking components, such as VPCs, subnets, route tables, security groups, and VPN connections.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to support efficient application deployment.
- Configure monitoring and logging tools to track performance, identify issues, and ensure system health.
- Utilize automation tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, and AWS CLI to streamline resource deployment and management.
- Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies to protect critical data and minimize downtime.
- Monitor and optimize resource usage for cost efficiency and scalability.
- Provide secondary support for additional Florida Realtors IT environments as needed.
- Stay current with AWS technologies, industry trends, and recommend process improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect, are a plus.
- 2 years minimum proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or in a similar AWS-focused role.
- Strong understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, Aurora, VPCs, IAM, Lambda, etc.).
- Experience with automation tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (Git, Docker, CI/CD).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to thrive independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Clumio for AWS backup/recovery.
- Experience with Wiz Cloud Security Platform (CSPM, CIEM, CWP).
- Experience with Windows Server OS and Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS.
- Previous experience with SolarWinds products.
