About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist physicians in the care and teaching of patients
- Travel to clinics in Lake City, Gainesville, Palatka, and Fleming Island
- Assess patient needs and condition
- React calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Support world-class community cancer care at Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute
Requirements
What you’ll need- Registered Nurse licensed in the State of Residence
- Experience in IV therapy
- Ability to assess patient needs and condition
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- BLS required upon hire or must be obtained within 30 days of employment
- Fluency in English
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability and willingness to travel to clinics
- Experience with hematology/oncology patients in a clinic or hospital preferred but not required
- Must pass background, drug, and nicotine screenings
- New hires must receive required vaccinations, including influenza, barring an approved exemption
- Must be willing to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with no nights or weekends
