About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work directly alongside senior engineers and mentors to contribute to our Wi-Fi and cellular stack.
- Integrate radio hardware into our drone systems.
- Write software across the Linux user space and driver layer.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional RF, systems, device software, and cloud engineering teams to build and refine cutting-edge autonomous solutions.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (Recent Grads & Ph.D. candidates welcome!).
- Solid foundational proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and basic software development tools (Git, debugging, unit testing).
- Demonstrated interest or academic exposure to wireless communications, networking, or embedded hardware (via coursework, research lab experience, student design teams, or personal projects).
- Effective communication skills and a strong desire to learn, collaborate, and grow within a fast-paced engineering team.
- Nice to Have (Any of the following is a bonus, not a requirement!):
- Hands-on lab or project experience with wireless standards (802.11 / Wi-Fi, 3GPP / 5G, or C-V2X).
- Experience with microcontrollers, Software-Defined Radios (SDR), or single-board computers (ESP32, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, USRP).
- Exposure to low-level Linux programming (sockets, user-space drivers, or networking stacks).
- Involvement in hands-on student design projects or robotics teams (e.g., RoboJackets, Formula SAE, Drone/UAV teams, or university research labs).
- Basic understanding of databases or data logging tools (SQL, Python data tools, Databricks, etc).
