About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work directly alongside senior engineers and mentors to contribute to our Wi-Fi and cellular stack.
Integrate radio hardware into our drone systems.
Write software across the Linux user space and driver layer.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional RF, systems, device software, and cloud engineering teams to build and refine cutting-edge autonomous solutions.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (Recent Grads & Ph.D. candidates welcome!).
Solid foundational proficiency in C, C++, and Python.
Familiarity with Linux environments and basic software development tools (Git, debugging, unit testing).
Demonstrated interest or academic exposure to wireless communications, networking, or embedded hardware (via coursework, research lab experience, student design teams, or personal projects).
Effective communication skills and a strong desire to learn, collaborate, and grow within a fast-paced engineering team.
Nice to Have (Any of the following is a bonus, not a requirement!):
Hands-on lab or project experience with wireless standards (802.11 / Wi-Fi, 3GPP / 5G, or C-V2X).
Experience with microcontrollers, Software-Defined Radios (SDR), or single-board computers (ESP32, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, USRP).
Exposure to low-level Linux programming (sockets, user-space drivers, or networking stacks).
Involvement in hands-on student design projects or robotics teams (e.g., RoboJackets, Formula SAE, Drone/UAV teams, or university research labs).
Basic understanding of databases or data logging tools (SQL, Python data tools, Databricks, etc).
