About the role
- Lead and grow Float’s security engineering team.
- Own detection, response, cloud security, and secure SDLC practices.
- Build security tooling and automation.
- Partner with Engineering to embed security into workflows.
- Support external trust conversations with customers and auditors.
- Contribute directly to security systems and tooling.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience across security operations, AppSec, and infrastructure security.
- Strong cloud security experience (AWS).
- Experience securing CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows.
- Comfort operating in high-trust, high-risk environments.
- Ability to communicate security trade-offs clearly.
