Key responsibilities & impact

🧭 **The role**
You will be at the heart of software quality assurance and test automation activities, with a varied and impactful day-to-day:
Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for web and mobile applications, API services and backend systems;
Collaborate with product managers, software developers and cross-functional teams to:
Understand requirements and define test scenarios covering functional and non-functional aspects;
Perform manual, exploratory, usability and acceptance testing to validate new features and identify defects;
Execute test cases across different browsers, devices and operating systems to ensure platform compatibility and consistency;
Manage defects effectively in tracking tools (e.g., Jira), from identification through resolution and verification;
Work with development teams to analyze root causes, produce detailed bug reports and validate fixes;
Design, develop and maintain automated tests and frameworks using tools such as Postman and Cypress to optimize regression testing and improve test coverage;
Continuously evolve automated test suites to ensure their reliability, maintainability and scalability;
Promote QA best practices, including Agile principles, CI/CD approaches and shift-left testing;
Participate in code reviews, design reviews and Agile ceremonies to contribute to quality, testability and risk management.

🎓 Education & technical skills
5+ years of experience in software quality assurance or software testing;
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field;
Proven expertise in risk analysis and the development of test strategies;
Experience with manual and automated testing in web, mobile and API environments;
Proficiency with automation and testing tools such as Postman, Cypress and JavaScript;
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira);
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD and modern QA practices;
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary and technical teams;
Bilingual in French and English at a professional working proficiency to ensure clear and effective communication with teams and clients across Canada.
