About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee development of test automation scripts within the QA team and perform code reviews
Mentor test automation engineers on test automation practices
Write, maintain, and execute functional, browser, performance, load, and stress tests
Create detailed test plans and test cases
Design, implement, run, and analyze functional, integration, security, system, stress, load, and robustness test suites
Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities
Design, develop, and execute automation scripts and programs using open-source tools
Identify, document, and track bugs
Perform fix validation and verification when bugs are resolved
Liaise with developers and product managers to identify system requirements
Monitor debugging process results
Investigate causes of non-conforming software and help implement fixes and solutions
Track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts

Requirements

What you’ll need

B.Sc. or College degree in software engineering or computer science
3–5 years of experience working in Quality Assurance and Test Automation
Knowledge and practical experience with Java, SQL, Rest Assured, JMeter, and Selenium
In-depth knowledge and practical application of TDD, BDD, and CI/CD
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
Solid knowledge of Java and query technologies including SQL, Mongo, and Elasticsearch
Experience with defect tracking systems such as Jira
Self-motivated, proactive, and willing to work hard within a remote team
Autonomous with excellent self-learning skills
Strong technical and business problem-solving skills
Excellent analytical skills
Self-aware, motivated, coachable, and able to collaborate with all team members
Nice to have: software development experience with Java, Groovy, REST API, SOAP Web Service, and GraphQL
Nice to have: experience with performance and/or security testing
Nice to have: experience with load, robustness, and system testing tools and procedures
Nice to have: experience with HR/Financial data integrations
