Key responsibilities & impact
  • Plan, prepare, and implement instructional activities that engage students in meaningful learning experiences

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Valid Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in the assigned content area, or proof of active enrollment in a state-approved EPI or MAT program plus a valid Florida Statement of Eligibility or valid Temporary Certificate in the assigned content area
  • Endorsements as required by the Florida Department of Education
  • Three years’ teaching experience preferred
  • Operational knowledge of the Internet and web-related technologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
  • Ability to collaborate on group projects and work as part of a team
  • Responsible, accountable, and self-motivated
  • Strong work ethic to achieve school goals
  • Effective prioritizing, organizing, and time-management skills; ability to meet aggressive deadlines
  • Ability to learn and apply required and recommended FLVS computer applications
  • Ability to support FLVS core competencies, values, and expectations for student-centered behaviors
  • Occasional travel may be required to schools, lab visits, meetings, trainings, and conferences, potentially involving overnight stays
