About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Establish AI within engineering
Advance AI across the entire software lifecycle with a strong focus on innovation, practical implementation, scalability, and sustainable integration.
Orchestrate agent-based systems
Design, build, and manage AI agents and their collaboration within complex system landscapes
Define use cases and architectures
Identify meaningful application areas and develop scalable architectural approaches
Bring prototypes into production
Transition ideas and PoCs into productive, stable solutions
Optimize DevOps & workflows
Use AI to improve development processes, CI/CD, GitOps, and operational procedures
Technical design and implementation
Develop and integrate modern AI solutions (LLMs, RAG systems, agent-based architectures)
Evolve an internal framework
Work with and expand an existing internal framework for AI-driven development and automation
Ensure quality and compliance
Consider regulatory requirements, traceability and security, and testing

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong background in architecture and engineering
Several years of experience in software architecture, complex system landscapes (DevOps), and modern development processes
Experience with AI development
Practical experience in building and deploying AI systems, especially LLMs and agent-based approaches
Knowledge of agent orchestration
Understanding of multi-agent systems, workflows, and their integration into existing systems
Experience with modern DevOps practices
Familiarity with CI/CD, GitOps, and automated development processes
Hands-on mentality
Ability to implement concepts independently and bring them into production
Analytical and structured thinker
Ability to evaluate technologies regarding benefits, risks, and scalability
Strong communication skills
Confident collaboration with technical and business stakeholders
Experience in regulated environments (advantage)
Understanding of requirements in financial or safety-critical contexts
Experience with Scrum (advantage)
Very good German and very good English skills
