About the role
- Flexi Software: provider of accounting solutions (cloud and on-premise) for complex, multi-entity accounting needs
- Assist with month-end accounting close process, including journal entries and all monthly account reconciliations
- Assist with reviewing accounts receivable and ensuring timely collection of all open accounts
- Assist with processing and payment of all accounts payable
- Assist with preparation and publishing of GAAP monthly internal financial statements on a timely basis
- Support month-end and year-end general ledger process using accounting software
- Assist with annual audit and tax return process with CPA firm
- Assist with reporting KPIs; manage internal data collection and reporting
- Location: Shelton, CT preferred; remote candidates considered if able to work Eastern Time hours
Requirements
- BS degree in accounting required
- Range of 1-3 years of experience closing GAAP financial statements and 3-5 total years in accounting
- Knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting principles
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, Word
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with acute attention to details and deadlines while managing multiple workstreams
- Demonstrated ability to review processes critically and identify automation and efficiency opportunities
- Ability to work in a changing, fast-paced environment and display strong teamwork skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
