About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Act as a physical security subject matter expert and Flexential representative for employees, customers, and vendors
- Lead physical security design and construction initiatives for new construction and retrofit projects
- Configure servers, workstations, panels, and programmable components
- Serve as the primary point of contact for physical security system issues
- Manage projects and vendors through industry-accepted standards
- Design, implement, audit, troubleshoot, and maintain physical security systems
- Manage ticketing priorities and workflow for break/fix, installation, and maintenance issues
- Collaborate with compliance and audit teams
- Evaluate physical security strategy and controls for improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency
- Lead cross-functional security assessments and risk-management initiatives
- Coordinate physical security requirements for construction, retrofit, and implementation projects
- Improve internal processes, workflows, and training documentation
- Educate teams and partners on risks, vulnerabilities, standards, and policies
- Provide escalation support through the On Call rotation
- Prepare status reports for activities and projects
- Collaborate with technical staff to design business-aligned solutions
- Participate in Incident Management during system outages
- Partner with Design Teams during site builds and retrofits
Requirements
What you’ll need- 7–10 years of relevant technical experience with low-voltage systems, access control, IP video/CCTV, and intrusion alarms
- 7–10 years programming, implementing, and maintaining access-control, CCTV/IP video, and intrusion systems
- 7–10 years managing projects and personnel in a multi-location/matrix environment
- 7–10 years researching and procuring technologies and labor resources
- 7–10 years installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrified and mechanical locking mechanisms
- Ability to create, read, and understand engineered site plans, floor plans, blueprints, and system schematics
- Proficiency in Genetec or similar system architecture
- High competency in networking, switch configuration, and firewall principles
- Proficient knowledge of low-voltage security systems, devices, relays, sensors, electronic locking hardware, and mechanical devices
- Proficient knowledge of RS485 and Ethernet network design and devices
- Ability to interpret operating manuals and component drawings and develop equipment procedures
- Ability to use and instruct others in multimeters and circuit tracers for low-voltage troubleshooting
- Ability to organize maintenance schedules, coordinate vendors, and develop problem resolutions
- Proficiency with Change Management and Incident Management processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Genetec Certification or willingness to complete within 6 months
- Ability to resolve critical issues under pressure
- Relevant industry knowledge and ability to adapt to future technology changes
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and reside in an eligible state at hire and throughout employment
- Preferred: ASIS Certification; Windows Server and Video Management Systems; Visio and CAD; ServiceNow or other ticket-management systems; IT hardware/software certifications; project and initiative leadership experience
- Ability to sit for extended periods and perform moderate or advanced keyboard usage
