About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Identify new potential customers : Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities and potential customers.
  • Proactively engage with potential leads via Social Media (i.e LinkedIn).
  • Attend tradeshows and conferences to increase visibility of potential leads and accounts.
  • Drive proactive OI activities for targeted customers and collaborate with regional sales teams to achieve OI targets.
  • Identify and analyse current and future changes to customer dynamics.
  • Define and deploy a marketing strategy and approach for lead generation.
  • Support Flender at tradeshows/conferences by identifying suitable shows, arranging marketing media and booking stands.
  • Support regions and Business Units with case studies.
  • Document specific requirements and challenges of the industry.
  • Support Business Management with active feedback of market demands and movements.
  • Develop CXO relationships with key customers to leverage the Flender ‘value add.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to customers and internal teams.
  • Conduct training sessions and presentations on our products and their applications.
  • Promote the company's image and interests by professional diligence and expertise.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Drive strong discipline in the use and maintenance of corporate project pursuit tools and customer information databases -Sales Force CRM.
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process to develop growth targets for the UK business.
  • Assist with reasonable additional tasks and responsibilities not mentioned above at request of management in the support of the UK Business.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • HNC or higher education in Mechanical Engineering beneficial.
  • At least 3 years experience in the gearbox/coupling industry in a sales/marketing role or similar.
  • Track record of Social/Value based selling.
  • Suitable for an ambitious and driven individual.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Proven engagement with CXOs.
  • Drivers licence.
