About the role

  • Lead the Ecosystem engineering team focusing on Partnerships and Developer Experience
  • Influence engineering leadership, technical strategy, code quality, and performance
  • Collaborate with engineering leaders, product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define requirements and prioritize features
  • Deliver high-quality releases and manage projects and initiatives against delivery timelines
  • Contribute to building product roadmap and OKRs with clear goals and outcomes
  • Partner with product managers to drive outcomes in alignment with business goals
  • Collaborate with mobile counterparts to deliver cohesive solutions across web and mobile platforms
  • Develop, mentor, and grow engineering talent; manage team performance via regular 1-on-1s and performance reviews
  • Work with Senior/Staff Engineers to enable well-tested, maintainable, and performant code
  • Review team code as necessary to ensure quality, maintain consistency, and share knowledge
  • Advocate for and mentor the team on engineering best practices and development patterns
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment to boost engagement and morale
  • Communicate timely updates and progress on initiatives to relevant stakeholders
  • Recruit top engineering talent as needed for the team

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams as an Engineering Manager or as a Tech Lead
  • Proven experience building React and Ruby-on-Rails applications
  • Solid background in building integrations and web application development
  • Proficiency in Ruby-on-Rails and React development in a SaaS environment
  • Prior experience building SaaS solutions in an engineering capacity (as an engineer or as a technical lead)
  • Prior experience engaging and building relationships with external vendors or business partners as necessary in an engineering capacity
  • Strong track record of leading engineers to deliver roadmap initiatives and achieve outcomes
  • Strong passion and track record of attracting, developing, and retaining engineers
  • Leadership experience managing and inspiring high-performing engineering teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to a fast-paced environment
