About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide direct patient care, assessment, and triage for adult and pediatric patients in walk-in and scheduled appointments.
- Administer oral and parental medications, immunizations, and wound care as ordered by licensed providers.
- Assist with clinical procedures, point-of-care testing, and patient education.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
- Document all clinical activities accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) within 48 hours of service.
- Address patient concerns over the phone, review clinic schedules, and manage appointments.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accreditation agency
- At least two (2) years of recent clinical experience in direct patient care within a healthcare (e.g., hospital) or ambulatory setting
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Ability to ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and IHS standards of care
