About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support Vermont Army National Guard (VTARNG) medical readiness operations by maintaining, processing, reconciling, uploading, and safeguarding Soldier medical and dental records
Manage medical documentation by receiving, scanning, and filing all records into the appropriate electronic record system (MEDCHART) and the Soldier’s hard copy record
Maintain medical records in accordance with Army Regulation (AR) 40-66
Upload and verify documents by placing them into the Health Readiness Record (HRR)
Reconcile case information by reviewing hardcopy and electronic files for completeness

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent required
Post-secondary coursework, certification, or specialized training in health information management, medical records, medical administration, medical coding, healthcare documentation, or related field preferred
Ability to utilize various military health databases such as MEDCHART, MEDPROS, eCase, and AHLTA
Familiarity with Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) policies and Army Regulations, specifically AR 40-66
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
