About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- works under the supervision of the Facility Manager in the operation and maintenance of commercial office Facilities
- assists in the resolution of Facilities maintenance issues
- addresses safety and operational matters in a timely manner
- schedules work and services, and record keeping necessary for the proper functioning of the property
- acts as liaison between Facilities occupants/tenants and Facility Manager for work requests
- monitors and maintains physical management of the structures, equipment, and outdoor areas of the Facilities
- writes work orders for Maintenance Mechanics
- drafts memos and/or makes calls to occupants/tenants related to Facilities issues
- schedules and participates in 24-hr emergency coverage in the Facilities
- assists in the establishment, implementation and monitoring of a workplace safety program
- assists the Facility Manager in preventative maintenance scheduling
- keeps abreast of changes to internal occupant space assignments
Requirements
What you’ll need- Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent
- Minimum experience required: 4+ Years in Facilities or real estate operations
- Experience in administrative office practices and procedures
- Experience in coordinating and scheduling required
- Knowledge of safety procedures as related to Facilities management functions
- Knowledge of Facilities structures and general facilities maintenance
- Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- PC literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
- Exceptional organizational, prioritization and follow-up skills
- Excellent research and analysis skills
- Knowledge of basic office practices and procedures
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet established deadlines.
