About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee daily operations of the commercial loan insurance function
- Manage a team of insurance associates for pre- and post-closing insurance functions
- Ensure compliance with bank policy and regulatory requirements
- Direct post-close insurance maintenance activities
- Manage the force placement process for insurance
- Provide expert guidance to business partners on insurance matters
- Monitor work queues and compliance to operational standards
- Collaborate with internal teams to support insurance operations
- Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma, GED or Foreign Equivalent
- 4+ Years supervisory experience in a large commercial bank or related financial institution
- Direct experience in commercial loan insurance operations or related function
- Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) preferred
- Experience with commercial loan insurance review and force placement
- Working knowledge of flood insurance regulations
- Familiarity with general ledger review and insurance proceeds processing
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements and internal controls
- Familiarity with vendor oversight
- Process improvement mindset; Lean Six Sigma or similar certification a plus
