About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support underwriting, structuring, and management of commercial credit relationships
  • Assist Relationship Managers in analyzing financial statements and assessing borrower creditworthiness
  • Prepare credit approval packages
  • Monitor financial trends, covenant compliance, and borrowing bases

  • Collaborate with sales and credit teams to structure deals, address underwriting inquiries, and support client needs

  • Stay informed on market trends, credit policies, and risk mitigation techniques
  • Make decisions regarding the assigned portfolio using independent judgment and discretion
  • Analyze and resolve problems pertaining to the assigned portfolio
  • Perform special projects and additional duties as required
  • Complete required compliance training and maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Undergraduate degree (4 years or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or 5+ years of equivalent experience
  • 2+ years in credit underwriting, portfolio management, or a related field
  • Strong financial analysis and risk assessment abilities
  • Basic understanding of loan structuring and credit agreements
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and credit decision tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Relationship Managers, credit officers, and other stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple loan requests, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks
  • Intermediate Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP
  • Familiarity with credit analysis software
  • Willingness to develop credit expertise and stay informed on industry trends
