About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead Flagstar’s Employee Relations function as a trusted advisor to HR and Legal.
- Establish and execute employee relations strategy ensuring fair workplace culture.
- Oversee complex investigations involving misconduct and policy violations.
- Develop resources and standards for employee counseling, document standards, and performance management methodologies.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to the team on complex issues.
- Design and implement employee relations strategy aligned with company goals.
- Maintain and interpret employee relations policies and procedures.
- Conduct ethics-related investigations in partnership with Enterprise Compliance.
- Analyze case trends, identify organizational risks, and prepare executive-level reporting.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations, or related field.
- 10+ Years of progressive experience in employee relations, workplace investigations, employment law, labor relations, or related experience.
- 3 years of people management experience.
- Master's Degree (or Postgraduate equivalent) in Human Resources, Industrial or Labor Relations, other related business function (preferred).
- 12+ years of progressive Employee relations, workplace investigation, employment law, labor relations, or related experience (preferred).
- 5+ years of people management experience (preferred).
- Professional certification from SHRM or HRCI preferred.
