About the role
- Identify and solicit new business prospects through direct contacting efforts
- Develop partnerships with Flagstar bankers across Commercial and Private Banking Groups
- Leverage industry insight, product knowledge, and communication skills to develop strong relationships with new & existing clients
- Achieve/exceed new business volume quotas and portfolio growth goals set annually by management
- Evaluate all aspects of potential transactions including financial position of clients and transaction structure
- Partner with credit and documentation teams to meet service expectations and manage risk
- Monitor existing client creditworthiness on an ongoing basis
- Analyze and resolve problems pertaining to client transactions and service levels
- Perform special projects and additional duties as required
Requirements
- High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent
- 4+ Years’ sales experience in similar equipment financing environment, with a verifiable production history
- Expert knowledge of equipment financing products, pricing, and structure
- Professional communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Foundational understanding of financial/credit policies and financial statements
- Ability to build a pipeline of qualified prospects through referrals, cold-calling, and networking
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Outlook
- Proficiency with Super TRUMP, T Value and other CRM applications
- Ability to travel up to 50% of time
- Strong attention to detail
