About the role

  • A Relationship Manager Senior Municipal Products Group/Capital Markets manages Municipal loan relationships for Municipal Products tax-exempt and taxable loans.
  • Generates new business development and relationships that will produce revenue from Municipalities, Nonprofits, and other Public and Private Entities associated with Municipal Finance credit products.
  • Generates deal flow directly from these clients/prospects and orchestrating a team approach to the relationship with both the Bank / Specialized Industries and Capital Markets.
  • Responsible for the origination, negotiation, structuring, pricing, underwriting, and closing of loans.
  • Manages a moderately complex municipal loan portfolio ensuring the highest loan quality for the organization with minimal risk.
  • Manages the on-going monitoring of portfolio quality and ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent
  • Minimum experience required: 6+ Years experience as a Municipal Finance Credit Originator / Relationship Manager and/or Public Finance Banker.
  • Extensive experience with Municipal Finance Credit/Lending
  • Education level preferred: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent)
  • Experience specific to Municipal Finance Credit / Public Finance Banking preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Municipal Finance credit, underwriting and loan structuring skills.
  • Advanced analytical skills to understand financial and cash flow analyses.
  • Advanced negotiation skills in addition to excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including; Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrates a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly, engaging in proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross functional insights.
  • Aligns relationship building efforts with enterprise goals to accelerate performance and drive strategic results.
  • Builds trusted client relationships, whether internal or external, by identifying needs and delivering tailored solutions to enhance the overall client experience.
