About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Leading a team of rent officers – driving high performance and ensure great customer satisfaction.
  • Providing expert oversight – ensuring full compliance with rent policy, regulatory standards, and legislation.
  • Improving performance – using data and insight to challenge, innovate, and continuously improve service delivery.
  • Developing a high-performing team – coaching and empowering colleagues to deliver excellent outcomes.
  • Handling complexity – supporting the resolution of escalated and complex rent-related cases.
  • Shaping strategy delivery – working closely with the Operations Manager to deliver our vision, Housing Made Simple , with a focus on simplicity, compliance, and customer experience.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in social housing rent debt collection, with strong technical knowledge of housing law and best practice.
  • A track record of leading high-performing teams and improving service outcomes.
  • Proven ability to drive performance through data, insight, and accountability.
  • Confidence to act as a recognised expert and decision-maker in complex rent matters.
  • Experience delivering continuous improvement and influencing wider organisational direction.
  • Strong coaching and leadership skills, with the ability to challenge, support, and develop others.
  • Essential: Social housing experience in a rents or income-focused role.
  • Full UK driving licence
  • GCSE (or equivalent) and willingness to work towards CIH Level 4 (if not already held).
