About the role
- Primary focus on independently managing procurement for specific product groups.
- Develop and implement regional purchasing strategies in coordination with global partners.
- Responsible for indirect procurement, supplier management and negotiations.
- Oversee contract management, price implementation and escalation matters.
- Ensure achievement of procurement KPIs.
- Lead procurement teams at the Wurzen site and in the Czech Republic.
- Serve as the interface between plant management, purchasing and Global Commodity Management.
- Conduct market analyses and identify potential cost savings.
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
- 3–5 years' experience in strategic procurement, ideally within a matrix organization.
- Strong team orientation and leadership experience (managing teams of 5–10 people).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Structured, detail-oriented and results-focused working style.
- High decisiveness and agility in dynamic environments.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with cost and performance targets.
- International experience and intercultural competence.
- Solid market and supplier knowledge at the local level.
- Resilience and the ability to respond quickly in challenging situations.
- Excellent knowledge of standard MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and spoken German and English.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
