About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and complete any required remedial works in line with current standards and client specifications.
  • Support, mentor, and provide training to a team of electricians.
  • Undertake electrical testing, inspection, installation, and maintenance as required.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical systems, with the ability to identify and report faults effectively.
  • Interpret electrical and site drawings when necessary.
  • Follow safe working practices in accordance with current health and safety legislation and all relevant regulations.
  • Accurately complete and submit reports and certification electronically via PDA within required timeframes.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, residents, and colleagues.
  • Deliver a high standard of customer service at all times.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities provided by the company.
  • Support business changes and initiatives that contribute to company growth and improvement.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Strong knowledge of the electrical industry
  • Extensive experience in electrical testing and inspection procedures
  • Proven experience working with three-phase electrical systems
  • Solid background in electrical installations
  • Experienced in completing electrical certification and reports
  • Skilled in fault finding and diagnostics
  • Previous supervisory experience is advantageous, but not essential
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Accurate and thorough in reporting completed works and identifying further requirements
  • Confident using mobile devices to complete electronic job sheets efficiently and accurately
  • Strong practical and hands-on skills
  • Effective communication skills at all levels
  • Good organisational and administrative abilities
  • Positive attitude with strong time management and punctuality
