Oversees the receiving, unpacking, and organizing of new stock to ensure items are quickly and efficiently placed on the sales floor
Manages the setup and maintenance of displays for specific store sections, ensuring signage is accurate and promotions are properly highlighted, following corporate guidelines for resets and seasonal updates
Manages the entire process of opening or closing the store, including securing cash, locking doors, setting alarms, and ensuring everything is in place for smooth daily operation
Acts as Manager on Duty when needed, taking full responsibility for store operations, staff management, customer service, and addressing urgent issues
Helps oversee the daily activities of all store associates, ensuring effective performance and excellent customer service
Supports the onboarding and ongoing training of associates in store policies, product knowledge, and operational procedures
Drives store sales and controls expenses by optimizing merchandising, staff performance, and customer service
Executes the market plan by arranging products and signage according to corporate guidelines and ensuring promotional materials are updated regularly
Ensures the execution of company Inventory Integrity process
Requirements
High School Graduate or equivalent
College experience preferred
Minimum 2 years of management experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multi-task
Creative thinking
Ability to maintain composure under pressure
Ability to frequently operate cash register
Ability to frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove merchandise up to heights of 5-10 feet
Ability to frequently ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock
Ability to frequently kneel, bend, twist, and stoop
Ability to frequently communicate and exchange information with customers on the telephone and face-to-face
Ability to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time
Ability to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends, and may include overnight shifts and travel (as required)
Must be able to identify and discern email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures
