About the role
- Build a Culture of Working Back from the Customer: lead a growth-oriented sales culture and ensure exceptional customer experiences
- Lead execution and maintenance of all company merchandising and operational standards ensuring consistency with Brand Standards
- Hire, train, coach, and engage employees; inspire accountability and provide feedback
- Partner with District Manager and HR on employee relations, coaching/counseling, and performance documentation
- Maintain a safe store environment and execute talent plans for recruitment and succession
- Analyze daily, weekly, monthly business results and leverage reports (sales, customer experience, profitability, shrink, payroll, staffing) to drive performance
- Develop and manage payroll budgets and crew schedules
- Oversee receiving, stocking procedures, physical inventory, and merchandise flow
- Perform store maintenance tasks (taking out garbage, sweeping, cleaning bathrooms, maintaining stock room)
- Ensure compliance with Five Below SOPs, company policies, and applicable laws
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of management experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Creative thinking
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Experience hiring, coaching, and leading retail store teams
- Knowledge of merchandising, inventory, and payroll management
